Note: This course is a refresher course; students must be able to provide a copy of their prior AHERA training certification that current or within the one-year post expiration grace period.

This course is open to individuals who need to renew their AHERA certificate, regardless of whether they require state licensure or not. Students must notify BetterCertify of their intended work location(s) from the available list. In the case a student mentions a location not listed above, they will be enrolled in the course that is most applicable. It is important to note that refunds will not be issued for orders placed more than three days ago for any reason.

IMPORTANT: Online course validity varies by location; it is the student’s responsibility to verify applicability prior to enrollment. You will have 3 DAYS from the date of registration to provide a copy of your previous training certificate to show your eligibility for renewal with BetterCertify. After this period, you can still submit the requested documentation, however, your registration will be non-refundable/non-transferable if you are determined ineligible for the course. Please make sure you have this document available prior to registering for this refresher course.

This course is presented self-paced and 100% online. Students will have 30 days to complete (14 days for AL and MO students).

Students have the option to download a digital student manual or receive a hard copy in the mail. Upon successful completion, students will receive a digital copy of their refresher certificate within 24-48 hours. Wallet cards and hard copies of the refresher certificate can be added for an additional fee.

This Asbestos Project Designer Refresher Online course recertifies professionals who plan the scope, phasing, and remediation methods of an asbestos project. This course meets all EPA, AHERA, and OSHA requirements so that students can complete their annual recertification.

This course reviews important information for Project Designers such as updates to asbestos regulation, best practices, jobsite safety, and air sampling techniques. Students will learn the answers for practical, real-world scenarios such as asbestos response actions in public, commercial, and industrial buildings.

This course is presented in a self-paced online format optimized for distance learning. Students will be able to start and stop this course for the duration of their access to course material. Students will have access to this course for two weeks. Upon successful completion of this online course, students will receive a Project Designer Refresher training certificate.

IMPORTANT: Please verify if your state accepts online training for asbestos refresher requirements. Most states administer their own asbestos programs, and each state's Department of Environmental Protection/Health is generally the best place to start with questions about requirements and training. Students are responsible to verify these requirements prior to registering for a course.
