The course was very well-organized. It was easy to follow the discussion in the class while referring to the text. The instructor (Ed) is well-informed and brings his personal field experience into the classroom. He raised numerous thought-provoking questions about the many "gray" areas of the practice and was interested in the students' opinions and experiences. At the same time, the course structure ... and the instructor ... kept the class focused on the topics that are most important to maintaining the knowledge base necessary for working in the profession. Tom was extremely well informed, a talented and personable communicator, and had one of the best senses of humor I've run across in quite a while. He made the day fly by ... well I guess not fly, exactly, but it was painless and educational. This refresher course was very well presented. The instructor is very well versed and knowledgeable with the contents as displayed in the manuals. There were manuals from which I was able to reference and compare the slides presented by Mr. Anayat. The most important was his expertise on the contents and the examples of real life situations that made the material so much more meaningful. I learnt from a historical perspective about the development and uses of asbestos to the phase out period. Mr. Anayat did a great job and hopefully I get to have him as my instructor in future classes.
