This Asbestos Safety for the Competent Person Online Anytime Coursecovers the proper training needed when working with materials that may contain asbestos in order to help identify it and protect yourself around this dangerous substance. Built and developed from the OSHA standard for Asbestos safety – 29 CFR 1910.1001, the regulation applies to constructing, renovating, maintaining, demolishing, or salvaging asbestos containing structures. It also covers removing asbestos materials, installing asbestos containing materials, cleaning up asbestos spills, and the transporting, storing or housekeeping that is involved with asbestos-containing materials on a construction site. This training also covers the duties and responsibilities of a job site competent person, to aid the student in achieving this designation, per OSHAs competent person requirement. This course will quickly get a trainee up to speed on this information in an efficient online format. This course takes approximately five hours to complete.
