Cleaning Basics Series Part 3: Carpet Care Courses

This Cleaning Basics Part 3: Carpet Care course trains custodial personnel on the fundamentals of carpet cleaning. Students will learn principles to treat and maintain carpets in both residential and commercial areas. 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a course certificate. This is the second course in a series of courses geared toward custodial and janitorial professionals; however, it can be treated as a stand-alone course.

Topics to be Covered: Yarn and Carpet Fiber Identification; Cleaning Different Types of Yarn; Basic Carpet Construction; Cleaning Chemistry Made Simple; Carpet Cleaning Products; Spot and Stain Removal; Cleaning Systems; Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
