IICRC Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician (RRT) Courses
This IICRC Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician (RRT) course teaches techniques and safety issues related to carpet repair and re-installation, carpet construction, inspection process prior to cleaning, tools of the trade, floor preparation, adhesives, carpet cushion installation, tackless strip and moldings, seaming, and proper stretching. This class also teaches various repairs that the carpet cleaner/restorer may come up against while dealing with an installed textile. This knowledge will enable the technician to recognize and avoid installation problems that may arise while performing carpet cleaning as well as how to correct many issues encountered.
IICRC Exam Fees: $80.00 for each exam. Retests are $80.00 per exam. These fees are in addition to the registration fee and are paid directly to the IICRC online prior to course start date. Please use this link to register for the exam: https://iicrc.org/livestreamexamregistration

Thomas kept an upbeat and energetic mood throughout the course. This helped alot because it is extremely difficult , I find, to stay focused during virtual classes.
Only thing I really havr to say is I think there should be less time focused on introducing us to the tools, besides the main ones we will use. This can open even more time to technical walk through and questions Spencer S.

I did the on-line course which is always going to be harder especially as it is quite a practical subject.

Ron is plenty knowledgable, given his many many years of experience. Friendly and uplifting disposition. The only issue I have is not with Ron, but rather this trend towards online learning. I don't agree with learning a very "hands-on" trade by watching videos.
This method of learning offers significantly less value than an in-person experience with an instructor. I learned information to pass a test; not to better learn my trade. That is a fundamental flaw in this system and reeks of 'death spiral' in which the moment there is a shift in the IICRC requirement, OR people stop finding value in this medium, these webinars will be obsolete. I can find information to better my trade easily and without any incurred expense in other places of the internet.
The value here is in HANDS-ON experience and IICRC certification. If the latter goes you have no relative value. Zachary S.
