IICRC House Cleaning Technician (HCT) Courses

In this IICRC House Cleaning Technician (HCT) course, students will learn best practices for cleaning private residences. This course covers important information on sanitization, disinfection, routine property maintenance, and basic chemical science. Students will also become familiar with industrial cleaning equipment.

Topics to be Covered: Roles and Responsibilities of House Cleaning Technicians; Chemical Cleaning Science; Impacts of Environmental Contaminants; Solvents, Sanitizers and Disinfectants; Material and Surface Cleaning; Contents, Fabric and Textile Cleaning; Microbial and Pathogenic Disinfection; Equipment and Tools; Worksite Safety and Hazard Recognition; Developing a Cleaning Protocol; Documentation and Follow-Up
