This COVID-19 School Janitorial Pathogen Training online course teaches advanced cleaning techniques to janitorial and custodial staff in order to prevent the spread of infectious disease, including COVID-19 and the Delta Variant, on school campuses. Participants will learn principles of disinfection, sanitation, and containment.
From K-12 campuses, private and public schools, all the way up to the collegiate level, school campuses can be a huge concern for infectious disease outbreaks. Between the high-traffic environment and high-contact shared surfaces, it's easy for pathogens to spread among students and faculty. As a result, it's important for janitorial staff on school campuses to be educated in pathogenic cleaning and remediation. This critical training will keep their work environment clean and safe not only for themselves, but the students.
Topics to be Covered: Introduction to Pathogens and Infectious Disease; Disinfection, Sanitization and Sterilization; Containment Techniques; Cleaning Techniques for School Campuses; Monitoring and Maintenance
