In this Wood for Drying Professionals course, students will learn methods for reducing moisture damage in wood products. This course is a continuing education class for restoration professionals. Water damage is one of the biggest concerns for property owners. Wood floors, wood panelling and other wood products can be extensively damaged when moisture occurs. As a result, there is a huge segment of the restoration industry dedicated to repairing water damaged wood. Understanding the science behind moisture damage as it relates to wood is imperative for restoration professionals in today's industry.
In this course, students will learn about the physical and chemical properties of wood in order to improve their commercial drying skills. This class places a special focus on wood floors and wood in buildings.
This is an online course. Students will be able to start and stop modules as necessary during their 10 days of access. Students must pass the final exam in order to receive full credit for this course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will earn 7.0 IICRC CECs. The student will need to self report their CECs to the IICRC.
