The Understanding Construction Contracting Principles - 3 Hour course discusses the significance of formal contracts, typical exhibits, standard clauses in contracts, subcontractor lists, construction liens, notices of defects, handling of complaints and working with architects and engineers. Students will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of contract law and tort law, as well as how contracts are formed. They will also learn the significance of intellectual property law for design professionals and how to resolve conflicts.
