This Mississippi Residential Builder License Exam Prep Online Anytime course helps to prepare you to pass the Residential License Exam the first time around. A license is required for any new residential construction over $50,000 that is three stories or less. Commercial work less than 7500 sq. feet is also allowed under this license.
Residential License Exam Content - There are 80 questions on the exam and you are allowed 3 hours. You must get at least 56 correct.

You will then have this information available for the following states which accept this NASCLA Accredited Examination: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Does Mississippi require a General contractor (commercial contractor) license?
Yes!
If you are doing a privately funded job over $50,000.00 per job or a publicly funded job over $50,000.00 per job you will have to have a state contractor’s license. For anything that falls below that amount you will have to contact the city or county wherever you will be doing the job and meet their requirements.
