This Oregon 13-Hour Staying Alive and Energy Efficient Building Package combines two continuing education courses into one convenient class. Students will receive the 8-hour "Staying Alive: Construction Safety" training and the 5-hour "Energy Efficient Building" course. This course also includes a bonus social media marketing course for construction trades.
In the "Staying Alive: Construction Safety" course, students will learn important information on recognizing and preventing hazards on construction worksites. This module covers personal protective equipment, materials handling, and various common residential construction hazards.
In the "Energy Efficient Building" module, students will learn methods to create homes that have a less negative impact on the environment while providing economic benefits to homeowners. Students will learn information on insulation, green appliances, and other energy-efficient principles for green building.
