The BPI Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL) Certification Online Anytime program is a 5.5 hour online course that prepares you for the Building Performance Institute (BPI) IDL Certification. A proctored field exam to achieve this certification is included with registration!
Sometimes referred to as Duct and Envelope Tightness (DET), BPI’s IDL Certification qualifies you to perform blower door and duct leakage tests on new homes, as required by IECC 2009 and IECC 2012 building codes. In the self-paced online course you will learn the principles of air movement and causes of air leaks, how ventilation relates to overall air leakage in a home, and ventilation system requirements.
During our 30-minute IDL Field Exam-Prep Video, leading industry instructors demonstrate, step-by-step, how to perform each of the tasks required to successfully pass BPI’s IDL Exam.
