FREE - EPA Lead Renovators Certification Initial Courses
As of April 22, 2010, anyone who performs renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be EPA Lead Safe Certified. Individuals and firms that are not certified could face fines of up to $41,056 per day.
The Lead Renovator Certification Initial course is 8 hours in length and includes both EPA-approved lead safety training and certification. Any contractor performing work on pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities must employ at least one Certified Renovator who has successfully completed this training. Companies must also be registered as a Lead Safe Certified Firm with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The course concludes with a 25 question EPA-certification exam.

If you are on the fence about whether or not to take this course, don't be! It does not matter whether you are a father, mother, contractor, painter, homeowner of a house built before 1978, landlord or merely a citizen who is concerned about the dangers of lead paint you will not regret taking this course! Not only did Sean Armstrong make our class fun and interactive, but he was extremely knowledgable and thorough in his instruction of the material! This is NOT your typical boring lecture that has no use in the real world as the content is practical and can be applied to real world scenarios!
Oh, and you will be given a textbook to take home with you at the end of the class which you may want to reference while renovating your home or working on the job! Daniel N. S.

I loved the hands on demonstrations. Learning new tactics for containment and clean up was truly worth the class time. Plus I was able to demonstrate the proper was to suit up for demo. This was a high light definitely.

I found that the class was very well explained .The trainer was not only specific when neccessary but made sure everyone participated verbally an physically.
