Lead Abatement Supervisor Certification Initial - Seagull Courses in Georgia
This Lead Abatement Supervisor Certification Initial training provides information on lead-based paint abatement and regulatory guidelines for those individuals that will plan and/or oversee lead abatement work as a competent person. This 5 day course focuses on essential abatement procedures including site preparation, contract planning, project management, abatement implementation, record-keeping and includes 1.5 days of hands-on training. This course is 5 days instead of the normal 4 days because it includes OSHA 29 CFR 1926.62 and other heavy metals training.
Those working in industrial or public building settings other than target housing or child occupied structures, generally, do not need government certification or licensing. All that is required is your training certificate achieved in this class.

I’ve been training in this class more than one time. I also been train in asbestos class here too. Seagull help me understand about lead and asbestos how dangerous it is and how to protect me and others. Also help to identify lead and lead exposure. I never knew anything about lead until I’ve been trained by seagull. Any questions I ask, they provide me with an answer. Great stuff , I will let everyone know where to go if need to be train. Absolutely the best place to become certified with anything!!! The owner is not lying when he says to call his personal cell and he will answer!! He will answer his phone in the middle of a discussion to help callers. Also, our instructor for the course, is the most helpful person you could ask for when taking any of these courses. He is willing to help you in any way possible, and I wanted to be sure to mention him because I understood the information (rather than trying to memorize it) in order to pass the course. It may cost $100 more to take this course, but it is well worth it!!! I would have been willing to pay more if I had to. I definitely recommend this course to anyone needing or wanting these credentials. I'm not saying it is easy (so you won't pass if you simply show up and not pay attention). But, if you follow their guidance and do what you are asked to do, it will prepare you to pass. Again, I highly recommend them!!! Austin K.

I found the training course to be incredibly informative. The instructor's frequent interaction allowed for extremely productive and relevant conversations. Other members of the staff were also tremendously helpful and accommodating. The hands-on portion of the training course gave me a tangible sense of what I can expect in the way of challenges and level of effort required to build required containment and to communicate effectively while wearing respirators. It was a really nice experience!! The course is so graphic, covers a wide range of aspects about the lead abatement job. The hand-on activities really help you to keep in your mind the procedures. I felt very supported during the process. The instructors were focused on helping me to get me ready for State's test and my concerns about it. This was my first time at Seagull Environmental Training Center. I enjoyed the instructor .. he was very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to answer questions which made me feel more comfortable. I will be coming back in future for more training.
