Led by a certified instructor, this 2-hour Lead Awareness level training webinar is an overview of lead and focuses on potential health effects, related regulations, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices that can be used to minimize hazards. Examples of lead-containing building materials and coatings will also be discussed.
Per OSHA requirements, this course covers health effects of lead exposure and various paint related activities required to comply with OSHA's Lead In Construction Standard (29 CFR 1926.62) and for General Industry (29 CFR 1910.1025).
This course is for building maintenance personnel and construction workers who work in schools, residential housing and commercial buildings and perform activities that may disturb lead-based paint where the anticipated lead exposures will be below the OSHA Action Level.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is designed for employees in general industry and construction environments where lead and lead-based materials are found. This course is especially designed for those who will be involved in demolition or any remodeling/renovation activities that will include disturbance of paint or painted surfaces.
Please Note: This class does not fulfill EPA/state-specific Lead Renovator (RRP) requirements.
