Lead Inspector Certification Initial - Seagull Courses
This 3-day Lead Inspector Certification Initial training provides information on lead-based paint, water and soil inspections and sampling, including clearance testing for lead abatement projects. Extensive training on the use and technology of XRF instrumentation is included. The HUD Lead-Safe User Guide, Chapter 7 (1995,1996, & 2012) is included. This is the most visual course offered with hands-on activities that each student performs.
Those working in industrial or public building settings other than target housing or child occupied facilities, generally, do not need government certification or licensing. All that is required is your training certificate achieved in this class.

Lead Inspector course covered the info necessary on both the HUD/EPA regulatory structure and how it applies to be successful. Same as in the Risk Assessor course.... There is A LOT of information covered between videos and discussion so be prepare to take LOTS of notes and ask questions. I did and passed 1st time next day. Jeffrey M.

So the course was mostly watching a lecture from the 1996. Which kinda sucked but the lecture wasn't that bad and it was pretty interesting to watch since it was from 1996. The daily skype calls from Jim helped reinforce the material from the video and he gave us tips on what to remember for the test. Alexander B.
