Why Should You Take This Lead Inspector Initial Course?
This Lead Inspector Initial training provides information for individuals who perform lead-based paint inspections and/or clearance examinations on abatement and renovation projects. This course will teach the legal and technical issues and obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards.
This class will teach individuals how to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines.

This course is provided by an accredited trainer that is approved by the necessary EPA and/or Authorized-State lead program, as required based on the course location.
It is the participant's responsibility to verify that the course they attend will be accepted in any other state(s) where you will be performing work, and to process any required paperwork that may be necessary.
Your state may have detailed education, experience and application processing requirements to qualify for licensing in the Lead field. Students are responsible to verify these requirements prior to registering for a course. There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's lead program before registering.

Refresher Training | -Prior to the expiration date shown on the license, each licensee who desires to retain a valid license shall submit a renewal application, appropriate refresher course certification, and all applicable fees -Licensees should apply for renewal no less than ten (10) days prior to the expiration of the license to avoid a temporary lapse of license -Applicants shall submit proof of passage of an applicable state-accredited refresher course every third year from the date of the original training and certification |
