Lead Inspector Refresher Courses
The Lead Inspector refresher training provides information for individuals who perform lead-based paint inspections and/or clearance examinations on abatement and renovation projects. This course will teach the legal obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards, and individuals will learn to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines. This workshop prepares you to immediately apply your knowledge to the field, with real-world examples from experienced instructors.

this refresher covered a lot of things that i have not used with regards to LBP. particularly XRF. my company does not use XRF machines for our sampling so it was good to review that. i also enjoyed the fact it was more of a discussion instead of just reading off of powerpoint slides as it is more practical to understand real-world uses and techniques than just reading out of the book. ETC does a really great job with Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor training classes. They keep up to date on new regulations and break down what state agencies expect to see. They are also comfortable with openly discussing pitfalls they've seen or experienced which is very helpful. Garland G.

Many of the test questions were not covered in the videos watched during the refresher. Not the greatest location and my suggestion would be to start earlier than 830am/or take 30min lunch instead of 1hr getting out at 500pm and dealing with traffic in Atlanta was excruciating! Larri E.

The people in Atlanta were fantastic. Very polite and very helpful. Would definitely use again. My only recommendation would be to update the DVDs used in training. They skip around a little and do not cover a lot of standards that were on the test. My instructor was very good at answering I had and helping me to understand the material I was confused about. The course overall was ok, the main concern was the fact that the instructor could not answer the questions of the participants. One person was working at the facility with five different classes being taught. The test was unclear with the answers and in fact some answers had more than one right answer. If you didn't choose the one the grading sheet said was the right one, it was initially counted as wrong. I've been a Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, Supervisor, and Project Designer for years and have never missed this many questions on a test.
