This Philadelphia EPA Lead Dust Sampling Technician Certification Initial - National Lead Services course is required for the training of individuals who sample lead dust to comply with various regulatory requirements listed below. This program satisfies the requirements for the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) for training certification. It is a special upgrade to the EPA Lead Dust Sampling Technician that will emphasize the preparation of the Lead Safe Certificates required for rental units by the Philadelphia Department of Health (DOH).

This was so helpful in so many ways. We had a good group of people who we all got along so well. But Alice was the best. She answered our questions and made sure we were clear on what we were reading and going over before we moved to the next question. It was awesome doing the on hand training as well to get us prepared for the actual testing. All in all this was something I'm so glad I did and I would definitely recommend this class to any contractors or people looking to get into the business. Ronald S.

Instructor Alice made the class really enjoyable. It was a small class, so we were able to talk amongst ourselves more, and the class felt more personalized. She encouraged us to ask questions and if we weren’t clear on something, she was always willing to explain again, or have someone who did understand it explain it a different way that maybe we would understand. I attended the Philadelphia EPA Lead Dust Sampling Tech class and the instructor Alice was amazing. She was very knowledgeable on the subject matter and the class was very interesting. Alice demonstrated all the steps required to perform a lead dust sampling at a home. She even allowed each attendee to demonstrate the lead sampling steps using different scenarios so by the end of the class I felt very with confident about the entire process. All the attendees were able to get their certification. I would highly recommend everyone in the Philadelphia area to take the training with Alice. Brandi T.

The class was very informative and educational. The setting was in a private area with plenty of parking. From my understanding there were 5 students, of which 4 showed up. Professionals in all fields such as law enforcement-Police Lieutenant; Corrections Officer; Home Inspector and other professional. Instructor was very knowledgeable, explained the new EPA requirements for Philadelphia and most importantly-she engaged the class so it wasn't Boring!!! We had a few breaks and a light lunch was provided. After the hands on demonstrations, there was a 20 question test. It was a bit tough, but WE ALL PASSED. I would recommend this course to anyone that is looking to for secondary employment, or job enhancement skills. You can't go wrong. Certifications are good for 5 years. Our group vowed to keep in touch, so we even made a few new friends. Steven F.

I would highly recommend this course and specifically Alice. She was very professional but presented the material in a way that was enjoyable and easy to understand. The other students were also a big part of the day. She had everyone introduce themselves in the beginning and then drew from their experience whether they were realtors or home inspectors, landlords ect.
It was beneficial to get a variety of views from different perspectives. Highly recommend the course and Alice specifically. Milton H.

I had a very good experience at the course. The instructor was engaging. She had the practical experience needed to answer a lot of questions the students had. She also allowed the students to discuss openly during the class. I would definitely recommend this program again. This may be a required 8 hour class but I believe it can be shorten. Overall, I would still give this 5 stars Craig L.
