The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response HAZWOPER - 40 Hour initial training is a 5-day advanced level course with site-specific requirements and information pertaining to hazardous waste sites and operations in accordance with the requirements for health and safety training in the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120. The trainers were fantastic who were obviously well versed and experienced in hazardous waste regulations and emergency response practices. PTA, Inc has great resources and was able to cater to a variety of student's needs, from experienced hazardous substance transporters to students with no environmental experience. As an experienced environmental professional, I did not feel as if time was wasted or that progression through the training was slow, which was very much appreciated. Renata O.

I believe students should be able to keep reference books used during course as part of the 700$ package.

Class was taught by the book. Didn’t understand the need for repetitiveness for the last day. Thursday was the test day and small scenario, but then on Friday we had to go through a whole course review before getting to the large scenario. I felt it was only towards the 8hr folks and the 40 hr class was along for the ride. Would have rather focused on more hands on training than a refresher of lecture. Tiffany M.

Joe and Tom were very knowledgeable on the subject matter, they made it very simple to understand and retain the information.
