In this 1-hour Sustainability Basics for Work and Home online course, students will learn about sustainability and how it impacts their lives and work environments. Students will discover how their behavior can reduce their carbon footprints and waste, and explore non-expensive means of conserving and preserving resources. This course will identify painless steps students can take to save their company thousands of dollars, while saving our planet, too. Upon completion, students will earn 1.0 professional development units.
Course Format:
This is an online course. Access and materials will be provided on the next Monday after you register or earlier. Students will receive a workbook, practice exercises, and additional reading material.

- What is sustainability
- Why has there been a push back from politicians
- What should I think of sustainability when considering actions at work
- How will sustainability affecting my home life
- What is extinction all about and why should I care
- What is change management
- What is global warming
- What are the basic areas I can focus on for true understanding
- How can each of these areas affect my work place
- How can each of these areas affect my home and personal life
- The age of the planet and factors that impact our existence, our health, our wealth
- The conditions expected if we continue to contaminate our planet
- What I can do right now!

I didn't get the link to the training in a timely manner, but after contacting customer service, Rebecca, she was able to contact the instructor. Both Rebecca and Elaine were very kind and helpful. The only thing I wish there was, was a printable certificate for completing the course. Elaine was kind enough to send me an email that I could forward to my regional director that I had completed the training. Thank you, Rebecca and Elaine. I will definitely take another sustainable training in the next six months. :)
