New York State now requires all Mold Assessors and Mold Remediation Contractors to be licensed. Get certified in both designations with one combo course (4 days). Taken separately both courses would be 7 days (Mold Assessor 4 days, Mold Remediation Contractor 3 days).
The 4-day Mold Assessor and Remediation Contractor Combo course is for individuals that will perform Mold inspection and Remediation. Course topics will cover hazard assessment and mold remediation plans. This course will lead to a certification in Mold Assessor and Mold Remediation Contractor (two separate certifications). New York State regulations require any individual performing mold assessment and Remediation to attend an accredited mold assessor and Remediation training program. Upon successful completion of the course, student will have to submit an application to New York State Department of Labor Licensing unit to obtain a license.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Participants who wish to receive a NYS Mold License are required to have a valid NYS DMV ID number, in the form of a drivers license or non-driver state ID card. You do not have to be a resident of NY to apply for a non-driver ID card.
