1-Hour Hoisting and Rigging SST-106 Courses

This 1-Hour Hoisting and Rigging Site Safety Training (SST) course trains students on proper rigging and hoisting techniques. Students will also learn how to recognize associated hazards of hoists and rigs, such as falling objects and electrocutions. By the end of this course, students will have a better understanding of the protocol for the mechanical hoisting of heavy items on a construction site.

This course fulfills a portion of the training hours required for the NYC 32-Hour Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST). 

Topics to be Covered: Introduction to Hoisting and Rigging; Personnel Involved in Hoisting and Rigging; Basic Rope Knots; Use and Care of Equipment; Rigging Inspection

Note: This course requires students to have a high speed Internet connection and a web camera. Students must allow access to their web camera so that they may be biometrically verified. Students may also be required to upload their government ID.
