Comply with the new NYC DOB training requirements under Local Law 196 with this fully-compliant online OSHA 10 course!
The NYC OSHA 10-Hour Construction Online course is intended for workers and employees who need an OSHA 10-Hour Card. Users must spend at least 10.25 hours in the online course and supplemental material.
This OSHA 10-hour Construction online training course teaches recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. This course also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint. It was also designed to help workers stay up-to-date with their OSHA safety requirements. This course focuses on federal OSHA construction industry standards, pointing out any differences with State standards, and is a proven way to get your OSHA 10 Card and achieve the safety level required by your company for work in the construction industry.
Course Completion Requirements:
Voice Authentication Required:
The voice authentication technology is a simple process. At the beginning of a course, the system will call
the student at the phone number the student indicates. Then it records an initial student voiceprint having the
student speak a set of numbers three times. Once the voiceprint is mapped, the system triggers every 2 hours to have
the student call an 800 number and re-verify their voice.
Receiving Your OSHA 10 Card:
Your score will be recorded and submitted to OSHA and the Department of Labor. DOL/OSHA Completion Cards are sent to ClickSafety for signature and then mailed directly to the student (cards typically arrive 6 to 8 weeks after the successful course completion date).
NYC Local Law 196 Compliance
Through the use of voice authentication technology, this online training has been fully reviewed and approved by the NYC Department of Buildings to comply with the requirement of having an active proctor per NYC Local Law 196. The new law requires a minimum of 10 hours of safety training before March 1, 2018 for workers at certain job sites, and when fully implemented will require 40 hours of training total for workers, and 60 hours for supervisors.
