This Online Excavation Safety in Construction course teaches students how to recognize and avoid hazards present on underground portions of construction sites. Specifically, students will learn about falling loads, hazardous atmospheres, and the basics of trenching and excavation. By the end of this course, students will understand how to safely conduct themselves during excavation projects.
This course is based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P in order to provide a comprehensive review of excavation and trenching safety.
Note: This course requires students to have a high speed Internet connection and a web camera. Students must allow access to their web camera so that they may be biometrically verified. Students may also be required to upload their government ID.
