This OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Maritime Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the maritime industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity. Both Patricia and Miko did a good job presenting the material and making the course interesting. They added personal experiences, encouraged brief discussions from the participants to add further context to the course. It was required, and clearly stated before enrolling in the course, that you must have a camera and it must be on YOU at all times. For a class with mandatory participation, this is a reasonable request. However, it was quite the distraction that several participants could not adhere to this and stay on camera. One individual, after being warned at least 4 times on the first day was removed from the class.
