OSHA 10-Hour Maritime Industry
I recently completed the OSHA 10-Hour Maritime Industry course with Instructor Patricia , and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! The Instructor was not only professional and knowledgeable, but she also brought a great sense of humor that made the course engaging and enjoyable. She explained complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand and kept the material interesting throughout.
Her ability to connect with the class and encourage participation made the learning environment welcoming and interactive. Instructor was very knowledgeable and experienced in industry. She was able to answer all questions quickly and effectively. I had a follow up question and instructor took the time to research and call me back, which I really appreciated.
Recommendation: Class was both on-line and in-person. When someone asks a question, I would suggest instructor repeat question to the whole class so that all participants are able to hear. Ian M.

Instructor was very thorough and took the time to point out what would be on the exam. She expressed the importance of being your own advocate and being healthy and safe. Brandon is motivated and passionate instructor. It's obvious that he is knowledgeable but the thing that makes him standout, are his personal experiences. I recently attended the OSHA 10-Hour Maritime Industry course on December 11, 2024, led by Illustra Pro. Overall, my experience was excellent!
The instructor was knowledgeable, engaging, and did an exceptional job of making complex safety topics clear and relatable. They encouraged participation, provided real-world examples, and were open to questions, which made the training both informative and practical.
The course material was well-organized, and the pace was just right—not too rushed, yet thorough enough to cover all essential topics. I now feel much more confident about safety protocols in the maritime industry.
If I had to suggest anything, it would be to include more interactive elements, like group activities or case studies, to further enhance the learning experience.

Both Patricia and Miko did a good job presenting the material and making the course interesting. They added personal experiences, encouraged brief discussions from the participants to add further context to the course. It was required, and clearly stated before enrolling in the course, that you must have a camera and it must be on YOU at all times. For a class with mandatory participation, this is a reasonable request. However, it was quite the distraction that several participants could not adhere to this and stay on camera. One individual, after being warned at least 4 times on the first day was removed from the class. Joseph D.
