I recently attended the OSHA 10-Hour Maritime Industry course on December 11, 2024, led by Illustra Pro. Overall, my experience was excellent!
The instructor was knowledgeable, engaging, and did an exceptional job of making complex safety topics clear and relatable. They encouraged participation, provided real-world examples, and were open to questions, which made the training both informative and practical.
The course material was well-organized, and the pace was just right—not too rushed, yet thorough enough to cover all essential topics. I now feel much more confident about safety protocols in the maritime industry.
If I had to suggest anything, it would be to include more interactive elements, like group activities or case studies, to further enhance the learning experience.
I highly recommend this course to anyone working in maritime safety and would gladly take another class with Illustra Pro in the future. Carlos C.

Both Patricia and Miko did a good job presenting the material and making the course interesting. They added personal experiences, encouraged brief discussions from the participants to add further context to the course. It was required, and clearly stated before enrolling in the course, that you must have a camera and it must be on YOU at all times. For a class with mandatory participation, this is a reasonable request. However, it was quite the distraction that several participants could not adhere to this and stay on camera. One individual, after being warned at least 4 times on the first day was removed from the class. Joseph D.

I recently completed the 10 hour OSHA Maritime training course, and it was an excellent experience. The virtual instructor-led format worked well, allowing for interaction while maintaining flexibility.
Our instructor, Patricia, truly made the difference. She was incredibly thorough in her explanations and broke down complex safety topics related to working on ships and vessels into easily understandable segments. Her great sense of humor kept the class engaging, and she skillfully maintained the focus and pace throughout the session.

The instructors for both halves of the lesson did a phenomenal job in making sure we were prepared for the test, as well as making sure students were paying attention by regularly asking questions throughout the lesson.
