Why Should You Take This Asbestos Renovator Course?
This Asbestos Renovator training course is intended to meet requirements established by the State of Utah on asbestos renovation activities. Students typically include individuals involved with the emergency mitigation industry (flood, fire, and water remediation services) and contractors performing small renovation projects subject to the Utah asbestos regulations R307-801.
This course is designed for individuals that perform renovation projects that disturb either known or suspected asbestos containing materials less than the NESHAP limits (160 square feet, 260 linear feet, and 35 cubic feet) where the intent of the project is not asbestos abatement. Upon course completion and successful passing of the examination, participants are eligible to apply for asbestos renovator certification with the State of Utah Division of Air Quality.
