The Asbestos Transite Worker training is for limited Class II OSHA work to remove transite pipe (asbestos cement pipe) or paneling that may contain asbestos. For employees performing Class II operations involving one generic category of building materials containing asbestos (e.g., roofing, flooring, or siding materials or transite panels), training may be covered in an 8-hour course that includes hands-on experience.

Per OSHA, Class II asbestos work means activities involving the removal of asbestos containing materials (ACM) which is not thermal system insulation or surfacing material. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal of asbestos-containing wallboard, floor tile and sheeting, roofing and siding shingles, and construction mastics. Class II work must be supervised by a qualified Competent Person.
