In this online Carpet Construction course, students will examine the unique construction of various textiles. Specifically, students will learn how the different types of carpet respond to different types of training. Students will learn how to identify components of carpets such as backings and fibers, as well as understand processes such as tufting and dyeing. By the end of the course, students will have an improved knowledge on carpet construction and will be able to apply it to their restoration business.
This course is presented fully online. Students will be able to start and stop course modules as necessary during their 10 days of access. Students must pass the final exam in order to earn credit for this course. Upon successful completion, students will earn 7.0 IICRC CECs. The student will need to self report their CECs to the IICRC.
