This IICRC Continuing Education OCT course is designed specifically to provide technicians with necessary refresher training. In this course, you will learn about odor sources and detection techniques, olfaction and odor, applications, chemical alternatives and equipment for odor control. Students who complete this course will obtain 7 CE credits. Students will gain knowledge on how to deal with odors that come from a variety of sources, including chemical sources like fuel oil spills or volatile organic compounds, biological sources like mildew, decomposition, and smoke damage, and combustion sources like fire. Students must complete the entire course to get credit. There is no exam because this course is only intended for continuous education.
The IICRC Continuing Education Program encourages technicians to actively participate in their profession through conferences, workshops, and specialized training with continuing education, as well as exchanging expertise with others in the field. Failure to complete continuing education credit requirements will result in the suspension of that specific status until the requirement and all current course requirements are met.
