This Gas Furnace Online Anytime course will teach students skills in servicing gas furnaces. Students will recognize the components, interpret the schematic wiring diagram, trace the sequence of operation, learn how to replace defective parts, and adjust the furnace for optimum efficiency. Students will also learn safety skills such as checking for gas or carbon monoxide leaks. Emphasis will be placed on making safe repairs.

This course can be taken as 1 of 6 within a larger HVAC Maintenance Technology Online Certification program, which is designed to help students develop technical knowledge and skills related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential heating and air conditioning equipment. Graduates will be awarded a Technical Certificate in HVAC Maintenance Technology and EPA Technician Certification as approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
