Note: This course is designed for students who already hold an MA CSL license. Licensees who renew a license or are issued a first-time license on or after July 1, 2011 must comply with education requirements following a full two-year cycle. A qualifying Construction Supervisor licensee must provide proof of completion of required hours in the appropriate category in which the licensee is licensed (Restricted, Unrestricted or Specialty). If your contractor's license has lapsed, or will lapse before completing a renewal course, you have a 1-year grace period to fulfill the continuing education requirement and renew. If it has been expired for more than 1 year, but less than 2, you can pay an additional $100 fee and still process the renewal. After 2 years, you must retake the exam.
The contractor cannot operate with a license until continuing education requirements are met. If you have specific questions about your renewal period, please contact the Mass Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS) at: (617) 727-3200
