The ASHRAE 62.2, 2013 ventilation standards for residential buildings is the latest compilation of information developed specifically for low-rise residential construction. The workshop is structured to review the new standards for natural ventilation requirements and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). The course outline will discuss the use of mechanical ventilation, the latest methods for calculating Building Airflow Standards, (BAS).
The course also includes whole-building ventilation, local-demand exhaust and source controls. The standards are applicable for single family homes, multi-family, and manufactured modular homes. During this workshop we will also discuss air leakage rates, infiltration credits, use of tables and calculations for exhaust control, and mechanical exhaust recovery ventilation options.
