In this BPI Energy Auditor Certification course, students will learn how to evaluate the energy efficiency, health, and safety of a home in order to identify areas for energy savings and make recommendations to clients. Students will learn how to use modeling software to produce accurate audit reports and a prioritized scope of work to present to their clients. At the end of the course, students will earn certificate upon successful completion of the course and exams.
Earning the BPI Energy Auditor (EA) certification automatically earns you the Building Analyst (BA) certification as well! Successful candidates will receive two certifications.
BPI Energy Auditor training is useful for anyone involved in contracting at any capacity. BPI Energy Auditors are trained to solve heating, cooling, and air leakage problems that drive up energy costs for homeowners and tax the environment. Although HVAC technicians and insulation specialists may be immediately drawn to BPI Energy Auditing, any general contractor or remodeler can learn the basics of retrofits and home energy improvement repairs. For the professional already entrusted with a client's home, the add-on service of saving them money while saving the environment is a perfect way to stand out from competitors.
Students will learn the principles of BPI Energy Auditing in this hands-on course. Upon successful completion of the course, the written exam, and the field test, students will earn a course certificate. Students will also earn 40 BPI CEUs.
