Why Should You Take This Lead Maintenance and Repainting Supervisor Course?
This Lead Maintenance and Repainting Supervisor Initial training course is designed for those who will supervise projects for compliance with Maryland's Lead Paint Risk Reduction Standard in rental properties. Detailed hands-on activities allow students the opportunity to become comfortable with performing risk reduction procedures. A certificate of completion and a Maryland photo identification card are provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.
Topics to Be Covered Include:
Intended Audience:
Prerequisites: 6 months of experience in construction trades, including but not limited to: lead paint abatement, carpentry, painting, demolition, maintenance supervision, or property management.
Application Process: After you take your initial training, there is an initial application fee of $125 (and every two years thereafter) made payable to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).
Renewing Your License: Refresher training is also required every two (2) years.
Reciprocity: There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs.
