Why Should You Take This Lead Maintenance and Repainting Supervisor Refresher Course?
This Lead Maintenance and Repainting Supervisor Refresher course is designed for those who will supervise projects for compliance with Maryland's Lead Paint Risk Reduction Standard in rental properties, and need to renew their licenses. A detailed review of hands-on activities allow students the oppportunity to become comfortable with performing risk reduction procedures. A certificate of renewal and Maryland photo identification card are provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

Who Should Attend This Refresher Course? Lead Maintenance and Repainting Supervisors who need license renewal should attend this refresher course. It is recommended to bring your initial license to the refresher course to show that you are eligibile for license renewal.
Application Process: After you take your initial training, there is an initial application fee of $125 (and every two years thereafter) made payable to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).
Renewing Your License: Refresher training is also required every two (2) years.
Reciprocity: There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source.
