If you have not received a seat confirmation by the day of the event, please arrive by 8:30am and display your WAITLIST EVENT TICKET to the instructor. At 8:45am, if there are open seats available, students on the waitlist will be permitted to join the class in the order that they joined the waitlist event. No-shows are common for this class, and on average approximately 8 waitlisted students earn a seat, so please join us the day of class for a chance to walk-in!
Effective April 22, 2010, anyone who performs renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be EPA Lead Safe Certified. Individuals and firms that are not certified could face fines of up to $41,056 per day.
This Lead Renovator Certification Initial course is 8 hours in length and includes both EPA-approved lead safety training and certification. Any contractor performing qualifying work must employ at least one Certified Renovator who has successfully completed this training, in addition to being registered as a Lead Safe Certified Firm with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The course concludes with a 25 question EPA-certification exam.
