Why Should You Take This Lead Renovator Initial Spanish Course?
Effective March 16, 2011, anyone who performs renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be certified by the State of Washington as a lead renovator.
This new EPA law applies if your project disturbs:
The Lead Renovator course is eight hours in length and includes both EPA-approved lead safety training and state certification presented in Spanish. Any contractor performing qualifying work must employ at least one Certified Renovator who has successfully completed this training, in addition to being registered as a Lead Safe Certified Firm with the State of Washington.
