Why Should You Take This Lead Renovator Refresher Course?
Effective March 16, 2011, anyone who performs renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be certified by the State of Washington as a lead renovator.

The Lead Renovator Certification refresher course is four hours in length and includes both EPA-approved lead safety training and state certification. Any contractor performing qualifying work must employ at least one Certified Renovator who has successfully completed this training, in addition to being registered as a Lead Safe Certified Firm.
