Why Should You Take This 1-Hour Lead Certification Course?
This 1-hour Lead Certification course is required by law for New Jersey property owners, contractors, weatherization, or maintenance workers performing work on pre-1978 multi-family dwellings with 3 or more residences, or emergency shelters & boarding homes. This class is an add-on to the EPA's 8-Hour Lead Renovators (RRP) course.
New Jersey Lead Regulations Certification Curriculum was developed by the Division of Housing and Community Resources, Indoor Environmental Hazards Unit as a Model Curriculum on NJ regulations pertaining to property owners, contractors, weatherization, maintenance workers and others performing work on pre-1978 structures which are subject to Lead Safe Building Maintenance Practices. Those structures include: multiple dwellings, emergency shelters which house women and children and rooming & boarding homes which house women and children.

Compliance Codes Met: This one-hour course has been approved by the Division of Codes and Standards to meet the regulatory training requirements found at N.J.A.C. 5:10- 6.6(g)(1), Regulations for Maintenance of Hotels and Multiple Dwellings, N.J.A.C. 5:15 Emergency Shelters for the Homeless and N.J.A.C. 5:27 Regulations Governing Rooming and Boarding Houses.
