The Visual Steps Guide to Lead Safe RRP is a comprehensive training video, recommended for training non-certified workers on the jobsite of Lead-safe renovation, repair, or painting (RRP) jobs in compliance with EPA requirements. Upon registering, students will receive online access to the video, which can be used indefinitely and re-played from a computer, tablet, or phone.
NOTE: This video should be used in conjunction with hands-on training and the Steps Guide pamphlet available from EPA.
According to EPA protocol under the RRP Rule, Certified Renovators must train their non-certified workers using the Steps Guide pamphlet as guidance. Using the EPA's Steps to Lead Safe Renovation, Repair and Painting guide, this video visually shows non-certified workers what to do, and how to do it, in just 25 minutes. Since the Certified Renovator is expected to personally conduct this training for the other workers on the jobsite, this valuable tool provides a consistent, efficient way of fulfilling this EPA requirement.

Under the EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule enacted in 2010, all workers on eligible projects must be trained on lead-safe work practices. Workers can be trained on-the-job by a Certified Renovator rather than attending the full 8-hour certification course.
