Why Should You Attend HUD Healthy Home Rating System?
Learn about the new HUD Healthy Home Rating System (HHRS) that follows the same qualitative approach to identifying health and safety hazards in the home as the UK's Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
HUD Healthy Home Rating System (HHRS) is a risk-based assessment process that identifies housing deficiencies and considers the "effect of the defect" by rating the seriousness of identified hazards and their potential effect on occupants.
SPECIAL NOTE: The pre-requisite for this class is the 2-day Essentials for Healthy Housing and field experience conducting at least 5 home assessments.
In lieu of the field experience, you may attend the 2-day Healthy Home Environmental Assessments: Principle and Practice training session.
PLEASE NOTE: that this overview course does not meet HUD 2-day Healthy Homes Rating System training requirement.
