The Overview of ICRA For Healthcare Construction is a 1-hour online course that will provide an introduction to infection control during the construction of healthcare buildings. The release of environmental microorganisms during construction, resulting in Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) is well documented and established. It is a known fact within the healthcare industry that 5- 7000 patients die annually as a result of exposure during construction. The need for training and accreditation involved in the construction process (contractors, builders, developers, architects, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and attorneys) is essential.
The program will addresses safety, compliance and exposure risks during construction of healthcare buildings and the built environment. For a more in-depth learning experience, you may be interested in attending the ICRA for Healthcare Construction bootcamp.
Upon registering, you will receive a phone call with your program access details within 1 business day. Participants will have 5 days to access the materials after receiving the login information.
This course provides the student with a certificate to be renewed in one year. The course is updated throughout the year and is different if the student retakes it. The course provides the basic safety awareness for infection control requirements for contractors that meets compliance mandates for hospitals. After passing the post test, the student receives a certificate and this certificate should be used as a part of SOQ (statement of qualifications) when submitting credentials for a job on a healthcare campus
