Why Should You Attend This Declaring Environmental Impacts of Products - From PCRs to EPDs webinar?
The Introduction of LEED V4 to Canada will result in a number of changes to the LEED ratings systems, including significant changes to the Materials and Resources credit category. LEED version 4 represents a significant advancement in the LEED rating systems, incorporating years of experience and a focus on real project outcomes. Across the design and construction rating systems, the most significant changes appear within the Materials and Resources credit category.
In response to these changes, the CaGBC is pleased to be able to collaborate with the CSA Group to deliver a one-hour webinar: Declaring Environmental Impacts of Products - From PCRs to EPDs.
This webinar is of value to design professionals, products manufacturers, as well as anyone else intending to work on LEED Materials and Resources credits for LEED v4 projects. This webinar will consider:
• Why there is a need for transparency related to the environmental impacts of products in the current (and future) marketplace;
• Methods and processes used to measure and communicate the environmental impacts of products, including life cycle assessment (LCA), product category rules (PCRs), and environmental product declarations (EPDs);
• How EPDs are being used in today’s marketplace, including their incorporation into LEED v4; and
• The role of program operators in the development of PCRs, and the registration and publishing of EPDs.
