Why Should You Take This Essentials of the International Green Construction Code IgCC - Chapter One Course?
This course will familiarize participants with the development, scope, intent, and application of the administrative provisions contained in Chapter One of the International Green Construction Code, also known as the IgCC. Participants will gain an understanding of how the IgCC fits within the context of other green building rating systems and standards.

Peter Kulczyk is an author, educator, and building code expert with three decades of experience that include working on staff with the International Code Council; working as an Instructor with the State of Minnesota Building Code Division; a decade as a municipal building inspector and various positions with five residential and commercial construction companies. He has authored books on both commercial and residential green building practices, energy codes and residential building codes. Peter has presented hundreds of presentations to thousands of attendees both in his home state of Minnesota and other locations around the country. In December of 2012, he created Green Code Knowledge LLC, because he wanted to provide a source where builders, architects, code officials, manufacturers and the public could find reliable, credible education, field inspection services, plan review and consulting services. His certifications include: Green Building-Residential (International Code Council); Plans Examiner (ICC); Building Inspector (ICC); LEED AP Homes (USGBC); CalGreen Inspector (California Building Standards Commission); andCertified Building Official(State of Minnesota). Prior to everything noted above, he served as a Radar Operator onboard the Destroyer, USS Reasoner (DE-1063) in the United States Navy.
