Why Should You Take This LEED Construction Management Course?
This new LEED Construction Management course is for construction managers, site engineers, safety engineers, construction supervisors, superintendents and field managers. This on-line course is broken into four, 2-hour sessions, that will take place over the course of one month. This course is conducted on-line, which means you can attend from anywhere in the world. A new session starts every month.
Each session is a collection of four (4) on-line meetings. These on-line meetings are scheduled on Wednesdays from 11:30am EST - 1:30pm EST (New York Time). All meetings are recorded and posted on our on-demand portal so that students may watch them in the event that they miss the live meetings.
Topics To Be Covered Include:
Week 1 - Kick off meeting
This session will concentrate on LEED 101 for contractors. Topics covered include: LEED construction credits, contractor responsbilities, understanding project goals and scope (RFP) objectives, understanding LEED specs from construction documents, and joining a LEED project through LEED online. Sample specs will be shared with class attendees.
Week 2 - Construction
This session will concentrate on a construction manager"s roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED or sustainability project. Topics covered include: LEED training for contractors, Sample LEED training material, Preparing and implementing LEED plans such as Construction waste management plan, and Construction activity pollution prevention plan. Attendees will learn to prepare LEED Construction waste management plan and Construction activity pollution prevention plan.
Week 3 - LEED Construction (Continued)
This session will continue to contrate a construction manager"s roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED or sustainability project. Topics covered include: Preparing and implementing LEED plans such as Construction indoor air quality management plan, preparing and analyzing "schedule of values" document for LEED MR credits, progress meetings, and supporting a CXA for building commissioning. Attendees will learn to prepare LEED construction indoor air quality management plan and analyze the schedule of values document.
Week 4 - LEED Documentation and Closing
This session will concentrate on how to prepare, document and upload LEED Construction credit documentation through LEED online. Topics covered include: Calculations for LEED MR credits, Filling out forms for LEED MR credits and uploading LEED documentation via LEED online. Attendees will learn to perform LEED MR credit calculations and upload docuemnattion via LEED online.
