Why Should You Take This Life Cycle Cost Analysis Course?
This Life Cycle Cost Analysis course considers the use of life cycle cost analysis for comparing equipment and building envelope options for high performance buildings. It will explore the concepts of life cycle analysis using the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) "Building Life-Cycle Cost" tool. Specific focus will be given to assessing the incremental impact of energy, water and renewable projects within the design of high performance buildings.
Sustainable design should include a complete life cycle analysis in order to effectively weigh economic, environmental and social options. The scope of energy conservation should be expanded to include a cradle to grave comparison of existing and potential future commercial products. This course will provide participants with the skills required to perform life cycle cost analysis of design alternatives for clients going through a LEED® project.

Who Should Attend This Course?
Please Note: Prior to the course, participants are encouraged to download the free "Building Life-Cycle Cost" tool, although this is not a course requirement. A portion of course time will be devoted to allowing participants to have some "hands-on" time to familiarize themselves with the tool. This will ultimately make participants more comfortable using the tool post-course.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
