Corporate Training By Zack Academy - 1-Hour Electrocution Prevention (SST-102)

In this 1-Hour Electrocution Prevention (SST-102) training, participants will become generally familiar with terms and the phenomenon of electricity and how it causes harm, learn to recognize electrical hazards and error traps associated with the potential for electricity to do harm, and become aware of administrative regulatory safety requirements associated with electricity.

Approved by NYC DOB for 1 Hour of Site Safety Training (SST).This is an awareness level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

• Electrical hazards and corresponding controls (include pre-task inspection of tools, equipment and cord sets as controls)
• Basic Principles of Electricity
• Path to ground in a circuit
• How Ground Fault Circuits Interrupters (GFCI’s) work and the difference between electrical differential across a circuit and (OCP’s) over-current protector
• Common electrical ‘Error Traps’
• Control of Hazardous Energy (a.k.a. Lock-out Tag-out)
• Multiple Choice Written Assessment
