This 2-Hour Pre-Task Meeting (SST) course teaches students the components of a pre-task meeting on a jobsite. This course is designed for construction professionals in New York City in accordance with training requirements outlined by Local Law 196.
The pre-task meeting is an important method for relaying safety information in job hazard analyses to all staff on a job site. The pre-task meeting includes risk assessment that helps develop a safe work plan. A successful pre-task meeting ensures all workers understand the safety measure and controls available to them. This can greatly reduce jobsite injuries.
Students will be presented with a mixture of live lecture and interactive guided learning. At the end of the course, students must pass a multiple choice exam to prove knowledge of content. This course is part of the required training for an SST license.
